I’m a freelance writer and editor currently focused on climate solutions and adaptations in Puerto Rico. I have a particular interest in Indigenous-led work and stories that explore how humans can restore our relationship with the natural world — especially related to agriculture and water quality.

I’m also the deputy editor of Grid Magazine in Philadelphia; I work with a variety of writers to strengthen their stories about the top environmental issues in Philly. I also copy edit and fact check the magazine.

Formerly, I worked as the deputy editor at the Philadelphia Citizen, writing and editing stories that inspired and equipped Philadelphians to engage more deeply with their communities and local government. Before that, I covered greater Philadelphia’s food and agriculture scene as the associate editor of Edible Philly.

While reporting, I’ve shoveled compost alongside a frantic farmer, got schooled on urban gardening and gentrification by teenagers, and was hand-fed dumplings by a former assistant to the Dalai Lama.
